He built some amazing rides. The twin engine dually wheelstander for sure. Rest in peace, my good man, your job is done.

Sorry to hear. The Satan-mbulance was easily one of the coolest projects ever done on that show.

Saw him at a couple of the Super Chevy Sunday Shows back in the 80s. Put on a pretty good show for the fans.
Make history while we can. Richard left a mark, will you?

Cancer plays no favorites. It took my dad when I was 17 and had taken or attempted to take may people I care about. We all have to be sure we keep out collective heads out of our asses and go yto the doctor once in a while. It is not like I do but I know I should. Sometimes if it is caught early enough the doctors can save your life.

I was fortunate enough to have met and spoken with Richard a few times about his cars over the years. The green '66 Bossa Nova was a particular favorite of mine, and I was lucky enough to hear the whole story about the car from Richard himself.

    RIP Amigo.

I hadn't heard about this anywhere else as yet. Thanks for posting it JJ.

Ya gotta love and respect a guy like that. It's a shame that skin cancer took him and in such a short time, looks like only a couple months. RIP.

My thoughts and Prayers go out to his family and friends. It appears that even though his life was cut short of time. He had spent his days doing what he loves with those he loved. His influence will live on through those who had the pleasure to work with him. I just wish I could have met you Dave.

  27. I always hate to hear that another extremely talented car guy, or gear head has passed. At least now, he no longer suffers. Just pullin' the wheels up w/ the Big Guy. Headstrong & Godspeed. Stay Solid & thanks for the heads up, Jesse.
