Oh yeah, good stuff!!! You guys gotta check out her pics from Viva Las Vegas in the latest issue of Ol' skool rods.
Great Stuff, diggin' the metalflake green car with the Astros, any full size shots of it,....what equipment are you using?
nice pictures april. mckee, that's my 60 pontiac. do a search for threads i started. there is one with some full size shots of my car.
Great work! I especially like the shot of the partial view of the dark 54 Chev with the lighter 54 in the background. Ted
I've been building my car to look like one of your pictures. I think it would be a lot easier if I just asked you to take a picture of my car ;-) As always, spectacular style. I really love the saturation, contrast and overall drama of each pic. Thanks for sharing.
Cool - I have a few questions. I am a bit of a camera buff, but have How did you get the colors so saturated? Those greens just pop. Is it fugi film that has been pulled? What is your B&W film? I usually use ilsford. Are you using any sepia tone in the development? I love the short depth of field. Those are some awesome pics. You have the eye. Thats one thing I don't like about digital cameras (well except some of the new digital SLRs) is the infinate depth of field.
Aw, thanks guys!! Keep buildin what you're buildin. That's why I go out and shoot. Kopis- Thanks for the plug The spread does look good, even if you aren't a fan of the mag. McKee- Yeah, that's Eric's poncho. You can search for it on here and find good pictures. I couldn't get a full shot cause there were too many people loitering by it. As far as equipment, my set up is really simple. I'm using the cheapest Nikon 35mm I could find, a 14mm lens for the wide angle shots, and the standard lens for the others. LaGrasta- Hey man, I'll be going to a few shows in California coming up here. Not sure what stage your car is in, but I'd love to shoot it if I get close to your area. RacerRick- The saturation is a combination of two things. My circular polarizer (which I absolutely can not live without) and Kodak UC film (Ultra Color). So far, out of the different film I have tried, the UC has delivered the highest saturation yet. I'm probably illford's biggest fan. I love ALL their film, paper, chemicals, ect. I tend to stick to the delta series for film, but I just use what I can get. The stuff is getting harder to find. Haven't done much sepia work.
