Is this guy serious? Code name 'the Shark'? By the look on his site, it sounds like he is taking credit for building the 'Land Shark' built by Frank De Rosa. A car that either you liked it in its time when it was built or you hated it, it was a car that was definately out there in the Kustom car world. No metion of De Rosa, only him. You can slightly see in the picture De Rosas name in script on the fins.

    Does anyone know this guy?????

"Randy Murray's Customized 1960 Cadillac Eldorado code name "The Shark""

SO it suggests Randy Murray is the owner of the car...
The " 's " is the posessive, suggesting only the curent state of ownership.
If he wanted to suggest he built it he'd take the De Rosa off the fin wouldn't he?

Damn, some of you guys are hard.
    headed.

SOme people build, and then sell and build more.
There has to be a buyer and new 'proud owner" somewhere in that equasion!

It says DeRosa right on the side of it, kinda hard to take credit for a build with someone elses name on it, no?

Point taken, but he has it on his hot rod shop web site though. Anyways, does anyone know how much this car has been selling for lately? Just wondering what some of the old kustoms are going for.

DrJ, bluebrian misspelled hauler. Aren't you going to chastise him too?

  13. I like the car and what it represents.

Hopefully, it reminds all of us of a time we should make sure we don't go back to.

  14. just shows there were better drug's in the 70's
DeRosa has a style all his own, I think mainstream rodders never accept anything that hasn't been done at least a hundered times.
I wouldn't own many of his cars, (goes for Barris too!) but that doen't mean I don't appreciate his work.

Anyone have some more photos of this car? I found one online and it looks nice from the rear.

It's over the top but I can appreciate it when someone takes a theme and runs as far as they can with it.

Randy and his brother Rick DO build some wild stuff...but every time I've talked to them about DeRosa's Caddy...not once did they take credit for building it...not that they'd need to anyway....

and DirtySanchez...when we're talking spelling, DrJ missed "equation"...98% of the people on this board cannot spell...and the other 2% think they know it all.

Check out some of the early or late for that matter cars that Bill Hines has built, like all the others some "not very pleasing to the eye" customs.

DeRosa had a VERY unique style

Not a real big fan of this type of car.

The funnything about this thread is it seems most every one is in agreement that they feel this car sucks ass.

But not long ago here on the HAMB was a thread about the FONZI Mercury and the majority of the posters on that thread seemed to think that was a Bitchen car.

Now as i said, Im not a fan of the DeRosa Caddy in question, BUT this Caddy is 50 times the car that FONZI Merc Pile of Shit will ever be.

Can any one shed light on why Frank DeRosa's Caddy is labeled CRAP while people THINK that FONZI Merc is cool ?

I would love to drive the wheels off of it. I'd take it everywhere. I wouldn't pay what it would cost for the oppertunity though.

Bro, you better step off Fonzi. Seriously. That dude is a legend and you're treading on sacred ground.

Go back and reread the thread on him and his cars and you should be able to figure it out. If not, be respectful and keep your opinon to yourself
