lets see some HAMB style 57's customs, gassers. street cars, high school hot rods ,whatever? lets see some pics. thinking 'bout a 57 belair post or a 210 post by like some inspiration
Sonny thats one bad ass 57 .how do you remove the bullets from the front bumper.i see yours is painted is it aftermarket or is that what they look like under there?
haha that's not mine. It's The Fidgiter's ol-man's ride. I guess you'll have to ask him about the bullets and all that. I posted a link to his thread under the picture of it...it's a little hard to see...
I really really REALLY like this car. Mmmmmm.... Going to get a set of steels and dog dish's for my 56... P.
Yeah, that is my car. To remove the bullets, I had to shape and weld in pieces where the bumper was flattened out for the bullets to mount. While I was at it went ahead and welded the three bumper pieces together and weld up all the bolt holes and weld on the brackets. It is painted because there was no way I was ever going to get it smooth enough for chrome. Glad you like the car.
the white 210 sedan is mine, it been "back-dated" with some wide whites and blue steelies sense the photo but no up-dated pics yet. the others are just pics i picked up off the internet.
just got these shots off the fidgiters' thread. the old shot in white looks scary close to my car. the shot in black is what washington mutual should use for advertising, if they did, i'd probably get me one of those wamu checking accounts they're always whining about.
The bullets are just bolted on. All you need is a shorter carrage bolt. The bumper is a painted original bumper. I like the grill bar. Want to share how you did that?
They are bolted on, but when you pull the bullet off there is a dished spot on the bumper, it is not flush. You can't just weld up the hole and call it a day. The grill bar is made from scratch....I think he used stainless? It does use factory '57 turn signal lenses though.
