Back in the day, we didn't have radials, and smoked the tires just fine. My 66 Chevy 396, 69 383 Roadrunner, 70 440 GTX, and 30 Model A coupe with a 289 Ford all had no trouble wasting rubber.

Why are you guys such assholes? He asked a simple question, just give him a simple answer.

Most everybody knows that nobody did burnouts before the '70's when radial tires were introduced to the public. "Burnouts" were completely unheard of. Untill then, telling someone to "dig a hole" would just get you a hole in the ground.

    Coker loves burnouts.

  10. Go for it. It'll true them up. Check them for runout before and after, and tell us how it worked

  15. Hey, I don't care how much tires cost or how many old folks it pisses off and How many people say burnouts don't mean a car is fast...
Burnouts are just too cool and fun

  16. burnouts mean a car has more power than it can put to the ground. What's wrong with that?

Bias plys have to be pretty good, I've towed around some cars on some pretty damned old tires and they hold air and don't fall apart or anything. (the inner tubes seem to help with that). I've had radials not nearly as old come apart and blow out on me.

  17. A little anti-freeze on the ground, and lightem up.

Radials were very costly in the 60s. So we ran bias up into the 70s until, TAs came out.

Then it was dig deep into the pocket book

  26. I really don't see what tires you have have to do with "doing" burn-outs? Just find yourself a nice fellow who has never even done drugs, and do him. :D

I'm sorry, it was too much to resist.:D

Just keep a coffee can in the back seat and throw a dollar in everytime you do one, and you should have enough to buy the next set.

    from nowhere...

mine burn up quite nicely, and safely as a burnout can be...after all drag slicks are not radials...

  29. You want or you won't?

    Sorry... I'm the spelling police.

I know people say there are no dumb questions, but... Hmm.....
