i would like a opinion good or bad. had this old rusty maverick hood, so i decided to cut the inside frame work out and set it on my falcon.i know i got to cut it down some, outside of that it fits pretty good, what you guys and gals think?

Still ford DNA, and cool looking. If you can make it fit right, go for it. If you can't make it fit right, stop trying now. I'm finding it hard to believe there wouldn't be extensive metal work to lay a maverick hood on a falcon. good luck!

  5. sell the hood and buy something wrecked and graft it to the falcon hood. people pay good money for grabber hoods.

I think he already cut the inner frame work out of it, so now it's worthless as a grabber hood, and it sure don't look right on a falcon.

i think it would be neat on the falcy... and a few would be scratching their heads at exactly where it came from.

guys the hood was junk to start with, it was a extra hood i had for my old grabber. mating the hood to the falcon was just something i wanted to see if it would work.

Sounds like a Traditional Idea, customizing one car with parts from another.

I think I like it, need better pics. Either way, thats a very expensive hood you cut.
Sometimes thats the price of sheer brilliance................

    More pics? less tarp?

What other mods are you going to do to tie in with the updated looks of the hood?

  21. I can not believe how many restoration freaks sneak onto the H.A.M.B. I can tell you if I find a part that I like! I cut it size, beat it to fit, paint it to match!
what is so rare about any Maverick ever built that it couldn't be cut up.

I've got a piece on my Hemi coupe that I cut up parts from a Hemi car that I've been told it is was 1 of 5 built that way. fit and works good in my 48 ford.

when I hit the powerball I'm heading to Forrest Grove or Pebble Beach to find a Cup Winner for my next street rod project.

there is a Packard Darrin in Portland that is running a Viper V-10 sits next to this srteet rodded 41 Lincoln. this Lincoln has been across the U.S. several times in the last 15 years.
John said he'd never go to a viper again, way more power than needed in the old Packard. how many rodders claim to much of anything haha!
