Speaking of gold and white 1957 Plymouth Belvedere 2 door hardtops..... Here's one sitting in a vault of weeds in my "project yard". It will be "unveiled" tomorrow afternoon with the help of a weedeater. It's been there since 1989. Wonder if she'll start...... Anybody got Boyd's cell number? If not, how bout Dwayne's?

Hard to believe the space age bag they put ontop the car in didn't hold out a 50 year flood. "Every precaution was taken" :D :D :D.
    Funny stuff.

Did you hear Floyd's comment about washing the car? He said he thought the car should always be kept just like it was found. He suggested that it be unveiled just like it was found. What a circus they were introducing the OSU guys that were going to remove the cover and out comes Floyd's crew instead acting like "they" found something! As usual taking all the credit and all they did was open the hood, trunk and forced the windows open.

I'm sure someone would want to win an somewhat rotted and flooded '57 Plymouth that looks like its been mudding.

  11. Why do we have at least 2 threads on a stocker covered in mud ?

Overall, the special on TV that aired the unveiling was pretty lame and the car was in horrible condition. The Shlitz that was in the trunk managed to pass through the deteriorated back seats and over the front seat where it came to rest in the front floorboard. They had to scrape the mud/sludge off of the steering column and dash to find the keys, which were frozen into the lock assembly.

On the brighter side, one of the people on stage started to play with polishing the front bumper, and it shined nice and pretty!

Boyd was a clusterfuck, and sounded like a complete and total idiot. He was useless and wondered around the stage acting lost.

The chick doing the MC for the show was stupid and lame. I'm glad I didn't buy tickets to go see it. Whats worse is that the TV show part basically ran out of stuff to show, so they wound up showing 3-5 mins of coverege and then 5 mins of commercials.

On the brightest side though, the actual little time capsule they sealed up with the car weathered the mess perfectly, and contained everything inside it in pristine condition.

What the fuck are these dumb ass women saying in the video? And who the fuck wants to see them anyway. I want to know how much this private enterprise paid to get fuckin boyd coddington there any way. And does anyone really care if he's there anyway? I want to see the car. Why the fuck don't they just put some decent picture on google somewhere instead of jerking us car guys off. MAKES ME SICK.

my wife was reading a little bit of this thread yesterday here in the hotel, she was laughing her ass off

I was there, I got to see our hero be his usual self in person...wow....lucky me. I was kind of surprised he didn't want to drop a new hemi in it. But I did have fun talking to the guys from Australia who sat next to me.

We'll get some pics tomorrow at the show, should be some neat fin cars in the outdoor show, hopefully I'll meet up with mike p. from the forwardlook.net page, he's from my home town, has a nice 57 savoy with an early hemi and 4 speed he built just to drive here for this circus.

Saw a neat miget and a nice 50s nailhead powered deuce roadster at the indoor show today.
