Is there a host hotel? It would be nice if there were someplace fairly central to the ballroom and Continental that we could use. I feel better leaving the car overnight when there are a bunch of cars around.

Man I escaped Houston 18 1/2 years ago. If I roll back in for a weekend you think I can get out again?:) I used to live in the 'hood where the show is going to be, 10 1/2 street or something. My uncle lived on Lawrence for 30 or more years.

Discussed this @ Thirsty Thursday this week, everybody liked the idea, going to make a trophy, We will see come September how many show up. Cindy & I will be there. Jason (JEB), my 2 wheeled son, says he is going to try to ride the Thruxton down, but thats a very busy time of year for him @ work, doesn't know if he can get off. Gonna try to make sure he doesnt puss out, if he tries we will sic Tina on his ass.

Man...it's gonna be hard to recognize that area now. Friends of mine and I drove around there during lunch on Friday. So many changes. Even the bums are gone. More box stores than I remember. I couldn't believe how many condos are being built from those old houses.

I have negotiated a discounted rate for all participants and spectators at The Comfort Inn. The usual rate is $89.95 but if you mention that you are with the Bayou City Burnout then your rate will be $65.99. If you have any problems getting this rate please let me know. I have spoken with the sales manager and can quickly be in contact with him if problems arise. FYI, this hotel is approx 2.6 miles away from the Ballroom.

The guy in the art work looks exactly like BIG RIC. But I'm confused by the cars. The BIG RIC that I know just does motorbikes. I didn't think he has cars anymore.

Or is he just skeered to bring the '40 to Little River for the races?
