concept drawings on hamb?

  1. Doc,

When I was in shcool I used to work at a large desk and set up my vanishing points, but now I just eyeball it, imaging where the vanishing point would be and trying to hit it. I usually just work with 2 points, sometimes if the view is set low I can get one point on the paper like this:

    or

If I want a semi realistic view from above I have to guess, like on this one:

    and

Sometimes there's just one vanishing point:

    or 3 :D

    hope that helps :)

Good looking illustrations James!. I was going to ask the same question about the program. I just got Illustrator installed yesterday, have to try it soon.

Any 3D guys tried Blender? Downloaded it the other day but have not had a chance to fool with it any. Actually haven't used a 3d program since back in my college days (Microstation, man does that program suck).

It looks capable (especially since it is free) but I am waiting to get time to see how bad the learning curve is going to be.

After this weekend I needed to see some good artwork. I'm going to try and save and get some pieces done. Start a hot rod art collection.
