Doc, When I was in shcool I used to work at a large desk and set up my vanishing points, but now I just eyeball it, imaging where the vanishing point would be and trying to hit it. I usually just work with 2 points, sometimes if the view is set low I can get one point on the paper like this: or If I want a semi realistic view from above I have to guess, like on this one: and Sometimes there's just one vanishing point: or 3 hope that helps
Good looking illustrations James!. I was going to ask the same question about the program. I just got Illustrator installed yesterday, have to try it soon.
Thanks Janne - that really means a lot coming from you!! If I can give you any tips with getting started with Illustrator then you just have to ask. JD

Any 3D guys tried Blender? Downloaded it the other day but have not had a chance to fool with it any. Actually haven't used a 3d program since back in my college days (Microstation, man does that program suck). It looks capable (especially since it is free) but I am waiting to get time to see how bad the learning curve is going to be.
