What do your wives, girlfriends, or family think?

I'm single (shock), so i don't have someone in the other room shaking their head in disbelief when i spend time on the HAMB. So, what does your (fill in the blank) say when you spend lots of time on here?

 

Oh man---my wife can't believe some of the names you guys come up with!
My wife came to KiwiKev's BBQ after the Back to the Beach show this year--I didn't know lots of the people--just read the crap on here and shake my head!!!
She isn't into cars (duh)---but she got to listening to some of the stories, and we stayed WAY longer than I was planning on--she couldn't get enough of Bad Bob---(I gotta keep my eye on him).
So now when I'm on here---she wants to know who's on--and like to read the quotes on the bottom of the posts.

 

"get a job" i hear that all the time. haha

 

My wife doesn't say anything, just gives me a strange look and slowly shakes her head.

 

I usually do all my HAMBing at work. It's my co-workers that think I'm crazy.

 

My wife gets a kick out of it...but she's a little hot rod mama herself...helps when the wife is into cars too......just might have to keep her!

 

I over hear mine talking to friends "Yeah, he's always on that....HAMB thing"

 

HAHAHAHA hell its 3:21 am and here I sit on the HAMB in bed on my laptop. Been researching all kinds of stuff, and AM WIRED. She is here next to me snoring, has woken a few times, and said you are still on that F***'n thing? A least ur not our F***'n sumone else. hahah and turns over and goes back to snoring. She callsme ands asks whats goin on, I tell her I am HAMB'n it up. she laughs and goes on with her day. I am slowly gettingher hooked. She is starting to like '32 Fords, yipppeee for me. So i might belookin for a roadster or Tudor before too long for her. Gonna have to make that one all shiny and purty, with a big ass 428 big block, and A/C for her. Oh well thats how my night is going. PAin meds rock........ but I don't

My girl loves the whole scene. Shes into tri5 chevys and '49-'51 Mercs and shoeboxes. Shes too rad =)

 

Wife can't understand why anytime I'm on the computer that I am either on the Hamb or the NSRA(UK) sites and not surfing for Porn - She likes the cars but only the finished deal - also cant understand when I say that my cars will never really be finished as there is always that little something that needs changed.

 

My wife loves the old cars and traditional rods. She is also talking getting some ink at the HAMB Drags! She is 43 and REAL conservative. The way I see it is that it keeps me out of trouble because she knows where I am.

 

My girl like this site. Sometimes she go on to check out post like this one. She is very happy I did not sell the 1939 ford I posted. She wants to drive in when it done. She is great.

 

I'm a work HAMBER. My wife knew about my interest in cars when she met me so having our everyday cars sit outside in the driveway while my other 2 cars are In the garage is something she is used too.

 

They jusy dont understand, and thats the way I like it,

My wife is always happy to see me looking at cars rather than Donkey porn with german midgets.

 

My gf thinks its hilarious how everyone busts the new guys chops, always has the same response "we covered that here link and here link". She thinks its all very weird. She also LOVES the drags and goin to shows, not so much the swap meets.

 

Probably glad I am not hounding her for some more P!!!!

I'm a work Hamber for the most part too. Between what my wife has me doing and trying to get some work done on the projects, I never even have time to turn the damn computer on.

My wife is a head-shaker, but after I get her to some shows or if I get my way, The Hamb drags, she'll come around.
She also likes to tell me when I'm rattling on about a new project, "just make sure I'll look good in it". Which I think is suportive in a way

 

When I do not get on here ladyshifter will ask if I am feeling well.

 

Mine is into cars, so she understands it. So are the guys at work, so it's easy.

 

After I dismantle the entire gearbox off my nova on our kitchen table she understood that I`m one of those.......

 

my girlfriend loves hot rods , muscle and drag cars ....
she also likes when you guys hammer the fng`s !
she has been searching for her own project and just bought a 37`international pickup .......

 

no old lady here! can't wory about that these days,getting healthy is priority one! hell a good old lady would give me a stroke but in a good way

 

It truns out that my WIFE is now a HAMB lurker, I come home and tell her about some of the days posts and she says "I read That today", she's met some of the guys and gals on the HAMB and I think what she is blowen away by the fact that "it's like a huge family, people helping people". when we were at the Round-Up meet and greet this year she was pushing me into the crowd telling me to meet people ! So she does not mind at all !

My x-fiance and baby's momma was quite the B•I•T•C•H when it came to my pinstriping or cars, but my new girlfriend is waaaay into both. We are currently trying to get a Model T Touring to Rat Rod out and she even picked up a pinstriping brush, and like all of us in the beginning, sucked at it but had fun with it. I think I'm in "like" again. Funny thing is I just moved here and she was the one to invite me to a car show... of course her dad has a '40 coupe and a 29 A model so I guess it runs in her family.

 

My wife loves the idea that I'm enjoying myself - both here with other like minded people and whenever I'm out in the garage tinkering. She says its been good for my stress level, and helps keep me mellow.

She rode in my first car (a 1941 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe) back when we were both 16, and she's always loved the cars since then. She recently got into the '57 Chevy's cause she "likes the fins" on the back. Hell, she says she'll be happy with pretty much whatever I get her, as long as its got fins on the back!
