This project has gone on about 7 years! its to the point where it runs and drives like a dream. but its lacking the sweet paint job it deserves. i had this parked outside on the street for about a month and figured id park it in my driveway. maybe give the naighbors a break. it was blue with grey primer, then to make sure it didnt rust when i was outa town i primerd it the red color.. well when i came home i put paint stripper on it and this is what im left with.. ill have to get it down to bare metal this weekend, get some rims-tires and a paint job and where in Business..

Show off your eye-Sore! i realy wanna see what my compition is for the HAMB ugly-jalopy award!

    Haha. "Ugly Jalopy".

You know how many hardcore ratrodders would kill for "patina" like that?

I think you're a contender for an OSR cover shoot. Oh wait...it's not a model A.

I'd rather look at that than one of the 13 pieces my neighbor has all over the yard. They are all late models, like Cirrus, 87 S10, Taurus, Astro van, etc. All cars he got cheap or were given to him that he plans to fix and sell. We have finally got tired of it and planted some shrubs seeing as how we figure he will never clear all the crap out. Almost did once and within a week had replaced the two cars that left with 3 more.
At least an "eye-sore" like yours I would appreciate and see someone trying to fix it up and probably help.

I hope you are cool to your neighbors, ours kinda turned into an a-hole with the more junk they brought in as well as working on the cars and house without regard to the other neighbors.

Good luck and post some picts of it when you get it as you want it.
    I like the Conti's.

Here's mine, in all it's glory, in cul-de-sac suburbia America. The land of 2.5 children, swingsets and white picket fences.

My neighbors love me as well. :D

Forgive the dumb question, but what is that car? It sure has some nice lines.

The square chunk missing and filled just behind the passenger side door - what happened there?

    Well OK.....you asked for it!!!:D
My current 'eyesore' for the neighbors......but this ain't all.....also got a '69 4x4 Suburban in the front yard with no front clip or motor, an '85 SWB Chevy in about 5 different colors and a parted out Ford Explorer in the back....
The bigger the yard, the more 'eyesores' it'll hold....hahahaha!

None of these (except maybe the VW's) fit my definition of an eyesore.

Our eye-sore is a 59 White "Super Mustang" tractor truck..one of my wifes customers gave it to her and she can't say no to anything like that (including stray cats) I immediately went out and bought army surplus camo netting and threw it over the truck..our neighborhood assoc. spys sent us a fuzzy picture of it with some sort of violation notice..now there is a cedar stick forest around it..we'll see how long that lasts, till the next notice or till the assoc. pres. gets voted out....

This is the best I got, I don't have room for a full car...but I have had the neighbors complain about it (but they seem pretty nice to me now)...

    Freak,

Forgive the dumb question, but what is that car? It sure has some nice lines. A 1937 Plymouth Roadster.

The square chunk missing and filled just behind the passenger side door - what happened there? Bud your guess is as good as mine ?
This car has had alot of stuff done to it and it seems alot of it dosen't make any sence other than the 10" channel,

As for the head light bro! now thats what i like to call Cyclops!

And slam just pm me and i'll give you info if you've lost it to come and take a look!

  25. This is my eyesore. I don't have to/get to look at it except on weekends but the guy that owns the shop where I store it has to stare at it everyday.

My neighbor across the street from my house is a avid hunter.
He came across the street one evening to see a 1938 truck I had sitting on a trailer, I didn't have time get it over to the shop the same evening I drug it home.
He asked "what the hell is that?"
I replied "you have your hunting trophies and I have mine"

  29. Mine made it a whole 3 days before the a$$holes next door called. Now I gotta build a dolly to get it back off the lawn, which leads me to my next post... Oh and I did lower it down to only 2 blocks high and tarped it.
