O/T Social Distortion Green Bay July 1

anybody going??? Great opening bands with them too!!

 

I did no anything about this event, fill me in

 

Man I love Social D

 

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Monday). I'll be there. I got to see them at The Rave, in Milwaukee, a few years back- before they lost Dennis. Man, that was the best concert I've ever gone to. Looking forward to July 1.

 

I've never heard them live, but "Reach For The Sky" is a great song.

 

the show in omaha was fuckin' amazing! a nice reminder of why social d is my favorite band!

Don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but I just wanted to mention that they have a greatest hits cd coming out soon. I've also heard talk of a new studio cd.
Slammed88, listen to "Live at the Roxy". It's nothing like being there, but it'll give you an idea of what a kick ass live band they are.

I saw Mike at the skateboarding bowl contest this past weekend in Orange County at the Vans skatepark and he mentioned the new release. It's great to see Mike, his wife and kids out at the event. His kids love skateboarding and he's been there two years in a row watching the whole contest with his family. It's great to see him support his kids like that He's got a great heart and it shows in his attitude and his music. A true pioneer and an awesome musician. I have much love and respect for Mike Ness.

 

i saw them 3 times at the Palidium in 90/91 and at a free gig at clairmont colege,at Clairmont,,,i was super sneaky and snuck around from the back of the stage and ran all the way between them as they were playing and did a full on stage dive!,*GRIN* ,,that was RAD....(P.S....how do you spell college?!)

 

i can't wait to see them. the only cd's played in my garage while i work on my roadster are "sex, love, and rock and roll" and "somewhere between heaven and hell".

 

You could see them for free at Summerfest this year...I think they're playing at the Leinenkugel stage, the wife and I will be there.

i'm gonna have to get some ticks. that sounds like an awesome show!! it's a bit of a drive but i'm off work that week.
