Wups, I was talking about that Skull sedan P.O.S. Listen guys, The best thing you can do is not post pictures of the handful of crap cars that were at the show. Seriously, That is a very small percentage out of the thousand cars we had in attendance. Just my opinion.
Yeah, PPE is definitely cartoonish but sooo cool. at least those guys know their stuff, I was hanging out with the shifters a lot during the weekend, very cool guys and marky is a real gearhead with a crazy imagination! Too bad a lot of guys saw it years ago and just try to out-do it by adding skulls and webs and other B.S. every year. I think i heard there were over 1000 cars this year. Its just gotten too hard to weed out the crap. there were tons of cool cars this year but unfortunaltely people tend to notice the most ridiculous ones. some people just don't get it... anyways heres some shots of PPE. engine porn... view from the cock pit..
yea i agree w/ you too, let me clarify before this gets off topic. im not classifying "rat rod" w/ traditional. what i meant was the general public doenst know the difference between a "rat rod" and a trad rod...yet. since "rat rod" is what the stereotype name is etc. thats that caterogy that it trad rod falls in to the GP. kinda like the difference between a chopper and bobber. in my opinion, real choppers dont have soft tails. ok..ill shut up now. enjoy the pics.
I just wish they wouldnt let in all the little gangbanger types and those few ugly ass cars next year.
Enjoyed the pics. Would like to see a rear shot of that '50 Olds. Looks like it's a fastback tudor. Any other info or pics of it?
The BEST thing to do would be to NOT let them in the show in the FIRST place............turn 'em away just like the billet rides....... Maybe then they'll get the message.........
the black PU (with pedal car infront) is so close. the grill is just to big for it (from looking at the pic) Who are building these Rat Rod shitboxes. They are the 50/60 something streetrods who just dont understand and only car about getting attention because their other streetrod doesn't or they are being build by the newbie young guy who also just wants attention and things that skulls, coffins and anthing death related is cool.. (rat rods/ death rods need to go away)
I like the X-treeeeeeeme!!!! front axle mount... gives new meaning to the term "suicide perch"... Dethkarz rule!
Thanks for the compliments guys. Hudson Joe and i burned the "midnight oil" for four weeks in preparation for VLV. Hammers,Dollies,Plastic fillers,Sanding, & painting both of our cars was the norm........not to mention fast food & Pizza deliveries every night. Whew! More pics of my car will be posted on my "thanks to everyone who attended VLV 07" thread. check em out! Axle
Can't believe I have not seen this in anyone's pic posts. My favorite car at the event. Its in the background of a few. There was a nice 38 woody next to this too.
thanks fer postin the pics folks, i had a good time at the show. you shoulda seen the guy and his wife tryin to get "fast freddy" up on their trailer sunday morn- 1/2 hour of hillarity, her tellin him it aint straight, him turnin ther motor off, gettin out and checkin it, then tryin again. repeat 20 odd times with his frustration growing by each time
Nice to see joe's car finally on the road! Don't see too many Hudsons let alone customized ones.. check out that @ss... and that beautiful smile!
Thanks for the kind words. This was a client's car we finished two hours before we left Thursday night. The '38 next to it we did for him as well and he decided to roll both. The green Merc next to this is the shop's that we completed just about ten minutes before leaving. Talk about pressure. Anyhow - lots of cool cars at the show and even more cool people. The Jak'd Up Customs black P/U was one of my favorites.
that orange woodie is alreet,i love it.good rant kirk.maybe we should call those pieces of crap GOTHRODS.anyway, looks like it was interesting there to say the least, vegas brings out the best and worst in people id' say
Yeah, that Orange '39 Woody is pretty, too bad it only traveled about 50 yards under it's own power all weekend. Straight out of and straight back into a trailer...........As did several others.
Dave Great Pics man...It was good to meet you saturday morning. As soon as I learn the photo bucket thing I will showya mine! Honestly, Dave really loved the death car...in fact I had to hold a beer under his nose to pull him away!!!
Hmmm....I'll keep my comments on that car to myself, I think everything that needed to be said has already been said....and I am in agreement with the majority on it too....despite what you say!! Good to meet you too man, had a ball, hope you guys had a safe trip home.
