Quickie Model A Engine Spec Question

    A buddy of mine is freshening up his '30 Model A engine. He needs to know what to set the lash at between the lifter bases and the camshaft.

    I guessed at about .006" intake and .008" exhaust... but I have never seen or touched the inside of a Model A engine, (or even a Model A engine manual :eek: ).

    Anybody know the REAL numbers?

    Hope this helps:
    Clearance between valves & pushrods must be measured with the pushrod on the heel of the cam. Clearance or gap limits should be .011 to .014 in.
