This is the major Desoto collection I told you guys about. I was asked by the bank to do a review and give a preliminary auction estimate on the collection. I have over 400 pictures of the cars to sort through but here are some just to give you an idea of the job ahead. All of the cars are basically untouhed for the last 14 years until they were hauled from the farm were they were collected to this secure storage facility where they are being cleaned, detailed and everyone so far that they have tried has started up and ran. but there are a lot more to go. As you can see the birds and general farm dust have got the best of them and one of the barns had a racoon problem. When Chris was alive he would keep the varmits away from them, but he has been gone a while.

Wow. Looks like a lot of nice cars. There's a guy near me with a similar collection of Mopars, mostly Plymouth's.
I read about this in a DeSoto forum. Wish I had the money for one of em, and was closer! Very nice collection.
Nope the date has not been set yet. As soon as i know the date and I get my hotel reservation set I will let everyone know the date. I have a feeling this one will be well attended?
Yes I am working on getting the other pictures loaded to my sever now. It is complete down to the streatcher
Nice cars! Damn, I'm primarily a Ford girl but have a soft spot for DeSotos that I inherited from my dad... Were there a '55 Firedome 4-door listed, I'd have to go tap a loan. Jan
After one hell of a lot of work I have the 402 images sorted, a homepage built and 32 subpages (all hand written HTML) I still do not have the descriptions done but the images are sorted and linked to the appropriate subpages. So get some plastic wrap for your keyboard to catch the drool and click the link below. I realize that a lot of the shots are not very good because the building is dark and the cars are packed in tight, Oh yeah and they are filthy! I will be adding more images later when they get all of the detailing done I will be making another trip. Plus the guy that is detailing them is video taping each car and I will load those videos along with videos of the cars running (or failing to run) but so far everyone they have cleaned has started. But there is a lot of work left to do! Here is the link! http://www.roadkillontheweb.com/binder/binderdesoto.html Would this make a nice ride?
