EVENT: Road Devils Ohio Present: The Thaw Out, April 21, 2007

This is a show we will be putting on in spring. Please pass the word around.


Who: The Road Devils Car Club (Ohio Chapter)

What: A hot rod, custom, and motorcycle cruise-in and music show.

When: April 21, 2007. Cruise-in starts at 2pm, Music at 8:30pm

Bands:
Shotgun Kelly (hard southern style rock)
Blatent Finger (punk)
Dixie Cannonball (country/rockabilly)



Other Info: The cruise-in is open to TRADITIONAL STYLE pre-1967 hot rods, customs, and stockers. TRADITIONAL 1920-1960's STYLE motorcycles welcome. (ie. if your 1980 HD is of a TRADITIONAL style, you are welcome. If you are unsure, it probably isn't) Spectators welcome, bring your friends. $5 at the door for the music. Outside concessions will be available during the cruise-in portion.

***There is NO rain date. It's going down no matter what. If you're scared of getting your car/bike wet, stay home. Everybody else will probably be happy you did.

Great- We'd like to get our finger on the pulse to see what type of a turn out we are going to have. It's going to effect the way concessions are handled as well as drink prices. So if ya'll plan on coming we'd love to hear it.

Marking it on the calendar. What kind of bands are you booking?

 

Good old honest to god rock and roll / punkish bands. We have a couple that are reminisant of Lynard Skynard on speed and similar to Artimus Pyledriver. We have one or two that simply fit more under the catagory rock/punk.

We are trying to foster an environment that spans both bikers and the hot rodders musical interests. I have to be honest, most bikers don't really like rockabilly, and the majority of our chapter isn't much into it either. So you won't see any at this show. You can check out the bands on the event's myspace page to hear their samples.

We will be hosting a second larger show in August, that will feature a more diverse music selection including rockabilly/do-wop type stuff. So if you're bent on listening to an upright bass, you might just want to wait around for the next show. There will be info for the other show posted in the upcoming few weeks.

 

If you have an open spot you outta look up "Murder your Darlings" out of Dayton. Rockin' Fuckin' Roll.

 

Sent the show info to the cruizntimes and big Al. That should cover the Cleveland area pretty good!

 

Since my 54 will likely still be much as it currently is, I guess I can't come.

 

We've booked another band. And still looking for a couple.

Hmm, 200 miles would make for a nice little drive in the ol' hot rod from Indy. That might be makable for us.
