I would like to try to track down one of my Dads old friends hotrods form the 60's (see pic). I have his last name, or close to it in spelling. You guys have any hints as to the best way to play detective, and track this car down? I cannot see anyone letting a car like this rot away...it HAS to be out there somewhere! Mark
Put out an APB here on the hamb with his name and the area he was in, surely some of these Old tymers could help out. You can also get on 411.com and check out names and areas....
Call CSI, they might find fingerprints and hair for DNA, match can be found on their database in two seconds.
You posted on the NTBA yet? Thats all they're into, T-buckets and more T-buckets someone might know of the car,Theres 1800 members that own T's
Hey Survivor, PM me the VIN# and I might possibly be able to help. No promises, but if I can, I'll give it a whirl.
Look up Harry McAuliffe in the phone directory. Harry (Known as "Hot Rod Harry") has been involved in the Detroit area rod scene since the late '40s and still actively deals in old speed equipment. I think he knew everbody in the area who was ever involved with rods. He has a hell of a memory.
Goz, I do not have the vin. I have the guys name, and thats it. I tried the white pages, and nothing came up. I know they were brothers, and will look for the obits on his brother. I'll check Harry, Thanks. Mark
there was a post with this T and another one on this site not to long ago it had mom and dad and a frends car, and was telling all about both rigs aka alley
Chrome frame!!! Too cool. That car will be easy to spot in a line up!! That really must have been a big buck car at the time, should still be around. JimV
Ally, that was prolly my thread when I found the pics. Jim, Bienecki Bros. owned a chrome shop Hence the chrome everything. Like I sid, I cannot see this thing rotting behind a barn, it has to be in a garage somewhere.... I tried the name in the white pages and got nothing. Mark
