    Hey People,

Coming over to the US for a mates wedding next week and want to do a bit of a Vegas bar crawl the day before the big event.

We are staying at the Goldcoast hotel on W Flamingo Rd just off the strip and are looking for local bars to visit. There will be a about a dozen of us and we all are rodders apart from a couple of his family and naturally we are all skint so no high priced clubs and stuff, just real bars with real Vegas people and maybe some live music or a stripper or 2, we're open options but don't want to travel too far if avoidable but if we must we must.

Anyway, we arrive on Friday the 23rd and we'll be out on Saturday if anyone has any ideas for us.

We'll also be picking up a rental to drive to LA on the Monday and might have time for a rod shop or 2, any low down on that would also be appreciated.

    Cheers

I think you will be dissappointed ,there are only one or two bars in Vegas and nowhere to see naked dancing girls. The worst part is nowhere good to eat either.
    JUST KIDDING!!
In Vegas all you have to do is open your eyes, fun everywhere.

Your first and last stop should be the Double Down Saloon http://www.doubledownsaloon.com It's close to the airport, a 5 minute cab ride from where you are staying.

I would also suggest hiting up The Klondike on the southend of the strip. Older, run down, casino with $1 Black Jack and 10 cent Roulette. It rules. Red velvet wallpaper and all. They actually shot some of Vegas Vacation there.

  4. Double Down is the #1 stop.......then make your way over the the Cooler Lounge for a drink or two, the Divebar is a favorite for music and drinks as well. Crown and Anchor is rite accross the street so you dont want to miss a nice Irish pub. If you are on the strip, stop into GIlleys at the Frontier Hotel and Casino....the coolest oldschool country western bar with a kickass mechanical bull....
gease I could go on and on.....
    Loves me some Vegas

Want to scare your buddies half to death? Check out the Western casino: http://www.westernhotelcasino.com/
It's a short and scary walk from the big "Fremont Street" district in downtown Vegas. It may have improved (or declined) since my last visit a few years ago, but this was the absolute bottom of the Vegas barrel, where the bums go to play penny slots. I would not personally walk to the Western from Fremont St. without a group of mean-looking guys, and definitely not late at night. Do not take women here unless they are tougher than you. This is a good review of the place:

But - I guarantee you'll tell the story for years.

No totally nude chicks in New Vegas however its still allowed in old Vegas . The World Famous Palimino is down town old vegas close to freemont street. Every girl is a 10 plus .The evening Freemont street experience is pretty cool downtown as well. The Glitter Gultch strip club is pretty good on Freemont street as well. I hear :) .

The Klondike has been closed about 8 or 9 months now. The Dive Bar has deifinately been the place to kick back and Cheetah's is the best place to see some T&A. If ya wanna get tattooed while your here pm me. I work on the strip 2 blocks north of the Stratosphere and I'll give ya a good group rate if your interested.

    Here's my personal favorites list...

#1 (of course) - The Double Down Saloon. Close to Hard Cock Hotel and casino
#2 DiveBar (Tropicana and Pecos next to Wal Mart)
#3 Crown and Anchor (Tropicana and Maryland across from Metro Pizza. Not far from DiveBar)
#4 Bunk House (Fremont and 11th in old town)
#5 The Art Bar (close to Cheetahs if you end up in that area. Main St. I think)
#6 Cooler Lounge. Good when bands playing (Decatur and Vegas?)
#7 Cheyenne Saloon. Good when there is bands playing. (Cheyenne and Rancho. Pretty close to Cooler Lounge)

That list changes from time to time, but Double Down will always be at the top. Always good bands, always cool people (and some dumbshits, but hey... this is Vegas), always free to get in, awesome juke box and drink prices are very reasonable. I've been at the Double Down quite a bit lately. Let me know if you're going to be there. If I can get away from life for a bit, maybe the chick and I can meet up with you there.

    Have fun!

    Cheers!

Noooo..... I was there in April for a 4AM snack of Pancakes and High Lifes. Oh well....

Any of the locals hit up 13 Martini at Hooters (The old Sam Remo). I was their in November. Cheesey as hell, but the drinks were cheap and the cover band was playing requests. Turns out the bar manager, Cole, is in the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.

    Is Legends still around?

    Thanks once again everyone!

Yeah that would be cool Scooter, we'll definitely be in the Double Down Saloon this coming Saturday night so if you can escape and say G'day over a cold one that'd be cool.

I'll pm you my mate mobile number so you can text us if you come out.

    Cheers
