Well, it's not a traditional rod or vintage race car, but this car helps pay my bills.

Burbanite: Some of those pics look familiar!!! Good luck with the ALMS deal. I didn't know you made the switch.

Thanks Lucky 77. My Dad passed in 2001 and it became one of my quests in life. I had his ashes in my chute on the return run. I feel very fortunate to be a member of the 200mph club. More people have climbed Mt. Everst than are in the 2 club.
    Thanks,
    Todd

Here is a Pic (I hope) of what we race. It has been in the family since 1974. it is a 1969 Woody Gilmore.
Was, The King Rat in Top Fuel, now with all the updates over the years we have been able to go 6.99 @ 195 MPH

Nino drove that car for me.
It was Nino's last ride before retiring from racing.
We built that car on the cheap(homemade frame, used and disgarded parts)and had a blast running it.

Markie Pooh, Yer welcome to race with me anyday. As far as racing with the others (on the other board) all you need is a puter and you can talk about it all day.

Great cars guys, my vote for the coolest in here so far?

I get to crew on 1149, and am very fortunate to be able to drive it once in a while.

As long as we're posting off topic, I'll admit my secret. I built this for my son. I've raced it a couple times myself. It's a 1990 Ford Probe, front wheel drive dirt circle track racer. Guess you could call it a "Hillbilly Tuner". Yes, you can get them to turn if they're set up right. It's one of the cheapest forms of racing and a whole lot of fun.

Neither are the things I posted but it is all good in racing. There certainly are some fine machines owned and driven by our fellow HAMBers, I would be happy with any of them.

Mike, congrats on the Daytona win! Apparently it is becoming a habit...:)

Yep, the move is complete. Great opportunity with full factory backing from Honda and you know how that goes..

Incredible facility and an exceptionally nice part of the country, I'll send photos soon...maybe you would care to join us???

  28. I used to race over an decade, but not at the moment. Who knows when the spark inside ignites again ;)

This is my first build from early 90's. An '65 Valiant with 360 cid, TF727 and Ford 9". Daily driven and best ET 12.76
    [IMG]

Next I built this '65 Signet for Super Street category. SB with PG and 8 3/4". Mid ten seconds flatout. I won National Championship and Nordic Championship with this.

Then I raced Super Gas with this tube frame '65 Barracuda. I installed an 509cid and PG into it (forgive me MoPar gods). Went low nines without throttlestops. Won one national event with it.

Next I built this dragster for Supercomp. I put the reliable 509cid from Barracuda into it. Fast and fun
