some of you guys wanted to see my vw work so here it is

thanks for the comment both good and bad......and i dont build your tipical run of the mill vw.....the notch will have 2 inch white walls when finished in three months....i think i build a hot rodish looking ride and turning wrenches is all im about......maybe i should post up pictures of my 1961 ford fairlane i have in the back yard...the square has a 160hp 1914cc vw motor...and i build everything from scatch...not much store bought......thefront end under the notch started out as just two pieces of tubbing....

 

He has a ride on lawn mower......like a TINY LITTLE version of a REAL tractor. How cute!!

I dunno about Yard Birds, but Dr. J certainly has Bats in his Belfry.

The VW is cool - but the Chevy you posted earlier is where it is at.

 

best thing bout vw is you can hack the roof off n use the metal on a Merc chop. maybe u can sell those wheels n all those batteries and buy a cool car. Hey, I got some neon lites I'll sell ya! What no wing?........... sorry, guess my social skills need some work.

i like the notch back. lots of potential there. the wheels on the wagon make me sick though. but hey, it's not mine .

i'm going to ignore the same ole B.S. whinning that always accompanies a post that even mentions the letters "V" or "W" and everyone else should too.

that Chevy is GREAT but the trunk lid needs pie cut in a BAD way. that would keep the "flow" going from front to back. it's got too much "junk in the trucnk" right now

I have owned 26 bugs 9 buses 8 square backs and never posted any of them here I would have no problem doing that on SAMBA I come here for traditional hot rods and kustoms

 

I like vw's dancing ones are lame so are ones iwth 20 inch wheels. but minus those things and those are some cool cars.
this one is more trad notice its a split window and also notice the porsche has the old taillights and old bumpers anyone care to guess when these photos were taken?

 

I like volkswagens. I hate grumpy self-appointed HAMB police. I like reading OT subjects like hurricanes, tornadoes, and skateboards, and BMX bikes, and air bags, and old cars, and oil, and drag cars, and trains, and airplanes, and artwork, and money advice, and where to live, and stories about days gone by. They make life more interesting.

i saw these cars before when i was looking up notchbacks because my girlfriend is dying to have a 64. she had one and right before she got her license her dad sold it. definatly cool cars whether there traditional or not i like em.

Agreed, Why is all this other stuff that is non hot rod related fine and dandy but when someone mentions a VW its the end of the world? Its not like he was asking tech advice about building a VW. Somone wanted to see pics and he posted them wanting to see what some of you people thought. Whoop dee doo. If you don't like them don't look at it. Go read a BMX or skateboarding post instead..
