    Jesse,
I had wondered what was going on on that last episode- looked like something was up - should have figured as much. Nice to see someone with both success and rooted to keep their morals. I'm sure your efforts are mean a lot to the troops and therefore us back in the US too. I just donated a bunch of salmon jerky to troops in Iraq and am setting up a fund raiser next week through my company's website www.wildsalmonjerky.com and www.TreatAnySoldier.com It is a small gesture compared to yours, but its a step in the right direction. Know that your efforts are appreciated.

    screw you.

liberals as well as conservatives ALL support the TROOPS.

you'd probably be surprised if i repeated what JJ has said about the man responsible for the war.

thanks for what you've done Jesse.

Jesse, thank you for being a hollywood type that supports our troops and doesn't look down the nose at them. Too many there talk the talk but don't walk the walk, you went to Iraq and it is appreciated by us, the military families with loved ones there. Anything done to boost morale is a good thing and I personally thank you.

My nephew is there, 1/6 marines.

I agree with Ryan, I'll be honest, I met you awhile back at your shop before it got totally huge on Discovery and walked away thinking you were a total dick....bad day maybe? Anyways, I saw what you did for the troops and my opnion of you changed completly, Leaving a HUGE contract to do what you thought was right shows me you are a total stand up dude and having a brother that was in Iraq I can respect the hell out of that. You've got a thumbs up in my book :)

Jesse, thank you for supporting the troops and giving them a little of home. Most people don't realize that they are not there by choice, someone higher up said go and they go; wether they like it or not. Regarless of you views on what is going on over there the men and women who have been shipped there still need our support. As a former Marine I have troops who served with me and friends over there. I know every little taste of home can be what makes it through another day.
It also looks like Corprate America will regulate its self accordingly.

Mr. James, as a retired soldier I want to thank you.

Sometimes we just don't understand what something like this does for moral.

Awesome job, keep up the great work.

    Again, thank you.

I wasn't a big fan of the show, and the response is a year late, but what the hell, piss on Hollywood, piss on LA, piss on California.

Thanks for going to Iraq! You made the troops you met very happy!

Awesome job of bosting morale Jesse...
    Thumbs up!!!!

  17. As a vet and a biker/hotrodder, I salute you. :D Regardless of anyone's political views, those people are over there (and elsewhere) doing what they think is right. If more people with the means and time showed the interest you did,it would mean so much.

But I have to add that the all-caps, bold text in your posts is annoying, imho.

I think that it is badass what you did. I did my time oversea's and i couldn't imagine the moral boost that you could give someone by being an icon and dropping in to spend some time and give the people there a break from everything that was going on.
    I dig it !
Can i have the 54 bel lol

  19. fucking cool.

From a JJ hater... Everytime I saw one of those AZ commercials
made me wanna hurl. Then you get all redeeming on yourself with
the school builds and the Iraq deal and shit, you even jacked up the
Garage rag a notch or two(not that there was anything wrong with it)
Guess I gotta give you a pass from 0-hero. Things that you've
done for our troops and youth mean a LOT. Also gotta hand it to
you for living in the public eye. I'm sure I wouldn't have handled it
    nearly as well.
BTW,if your not too busy, I could use a hand putting new floors/
rockers in my 57 wagon. Then I could tell you want I really think...

  26. Thanks for going. It was a great show ya did over there. I'm glad that there are still people with a backbone. Thanks again. My son was over there at that time.

It doesn't matter what you think about whether we should be over there or not, anything that connects you with home is a godsend. It's guys like you Jesse that make you forget, for a small amount of time, what's going on around you. I just wish you'd have done this last year when I was there. You can make it up to me, just send a PM and I'll tell you how. LoL

  30. The post title sounds like some kind of "This is how big my dick is" challenge, so here we go.........

Between me, my wife, our kids, and their spouses we've served 133 years active duty. My youngest daughter just got tasked to do another 120 days in the war zone.

We got paid for our efforts.

    So did you.
