Finally got around to installing Alex's awesome Notch kit into my 54 chevy. After starting after work on saturday around 6pm till 11pm and 4pm to 12am on sunday it is in. Now I just have to get my 4x4 S10 rear in with the triag 4 link and bag brackets and my rear is done, and order up the mustang II ultra low kit and my chassis will be done :).

Yeah I think Alex's notch kits are one of the best on the market. But then again, I am a little biased because I work for him.

Everything fit spot on with no real issues. Although the bottom box peice could be longer to cover up the stock frame better :).

It should extend down to the bottom of the origanal frame leaving a space about the thickness of the plate to give you a nice corner weld on the bottom.

We actually just finished notching a 54 chevy today we are doing at the shop. Came out really nice. But once again it might just be me being biased.

On mine the rear is perfect for a corner weld, the front is a little larger than I would like. On custom stuff like this there are always variants. Alex's kit is just f'in awesome, I have done quite a few bag installs on modern machines and have never had luck with pre fabbed stuff but this was smooth sailing. Can't wait to tackle the 4 link this weekend.
