if you want them to look light, do them in white then shoot the same color of candy over it. it will look like what some people call "gosht patterns. i did that, and i also left some in white so it can be bold and NOT LIGHT[IMG]

  2. That's doable. We used to blow the flames on over the base coat then blow the candy color over it. long before Ghost Flames were popular and Candy paint was affordable.

i also like when you do the graphics in grey, on your base than shoot the candy, than the graphics looks like the color of the candy but darker (somthing like that)

  5. Depended on the effect that the prospective owner was after. White over a darker base worked good if you really wanted them to stand out.

We did one that was cany red over gold and blew his flames on in black. Real subtle they didn't even show inless the light hit it just right, then the red looked brown where black was the under color.

No one I knew ever got into air brushed stuff or major graphics until way after I started playing with cars. Its an art far too advanced for me to ever even think about.

thats why my graphics are big and not detailed

  7. But they could be. You've got a good eye and a steady hand. ;)
You're style is way different than mine friend, but that's because you aren't me and I'm not you. Nothin' wrong with that.

Hey while you're here why don't ya slip over and help this guy out. You know paint as well as anyone around.
