Rearends that are hung out passed the body

    I just orderd a QC, the plan is to hang the rear out passed the body, and mount a gas tank above that. Need some pic's. I have a "29 tudor that I took out 20" from the rear window.

    How about a pic? It sounds like it'll look like a Bantam coupe. The rear on mine is just under the rear of the body.

    Here are a couple of pics of my roadster which has the gas tank between the body and my rear cross member. One pic is a construction picture when I was building the gas tank and lengthening the rear quarter panel the other shows the car partially assembled without the gas tank, but you can see that the quickie is behind the body.

    I just hung one out the back using 18" quarter elliptic springs without shackles. There are tubular lower links effectively making it a 4 link. I have a diagonal locator, even though they're not as good as a panhard bar. There's an oval gas tank above the whole mess. Sorry, no pictures as the only kind of camera I know how to use is the disposable ones.
