Awesome pics. I was going to post up mine, but you guys pretty much covered everything. I went with my dad on Saturday. The back room was definately the best and we saved it for last just like last year. Great vibe and everyone looked like they were really enjoying themselves. It was like a trip down memory lane for my dad. He had a story for just about every car in there. I found out his first car was a 49 Ford back in 1955 when he was 15 and half years old.

My dad had a lot of fun photographing all the cool kids and pretty girls in the old school area. He was the nice old guy asking politely to take peoples photos if anyone remembers him. I was walking around with him in my Billet Proof shirt. Oh, and I met Jeff Allison and he is a really great guy. He stopped what he was doing and just started talking with me like we were old freinds. It was a really good show.

Great Pics, thanks for the post, that Gold 57 Olds is the business........ when I was in the bay area after buying my 55 I spotted a real nice sort of Burgandy coloured 1957 Olds 98 2dr H/t any of you locals know it ? first time I had seen a 57 and it blew my mind :) after I got my car back to NZ and was looking at the trader mag I bought it out of and there was a really shitty side shot of a white 57 that I never even took any notice of just due to the crap photo and that I had no idea what the car really looked like.....

I don't usually get excited over customs although I can appreciate the craftsmanship that it takes to build one.. BUT.. .. ..damn is that nice!

Thanks to all for the post,

Many kudos for posting these pics. I spent a lot of time sucking in the candy colors, the show signs, the white lava rock, the bare metal, the rust etc, etc. LOVE ALL OF IT!!!!!!!!!

If it's the one I am thinking of, it's my neighbor's car. He really loves his Olds'. He has a 65 442 Convert and a 50 Merc with J-2 Olds power.
I will see if I can find some picts of it. It really is a sweet car.
I like that gold 57 too, reminds me of a similar colored 57 Buick from a few years ago.

  25. Here's some pics I shot of my uncles '29 at the show.
