before everyone gives me negative responses like always.. keep in mind that im NOT FINISHED and this is my first frame up hotrod build. finally got my car back from my buddys house so now i can start really busting ass on it. i still need a radiator, brakes, driveshaft, carb rebuild, wiring, and steering column and box. and a few other things(but those are the main parts) (couldnt find my damn grill shell i think its still at my friends) i got a set of bias white walls for it, and rims on the way! dont mind the dingy garage
If I am seeing it correctly the front of the frame is kicked up but doesnt level back out. I have never seen that before. I like it! Always like to see a Caddy engine too.
Is the body set yet? It looks channeled in the back but the body looks high in the front. Maybe an illusion?
yes the body is mounted but i didnt put the rear body mounts in, so its sagging a bit. also the rear tires are smaller. ill post pics in a week or so when i get the new tires and rims, and fix the body mounts.
I figured he purposely built it to look like it was "draggin ass". Keep at it! The engine looks great!!!
good for you man. im happy to see this thing moving along. mines going slower then hell. and i got some good ass memories in the dingy garage.
i got a 31 grill shell, im undecided on the grill mesh though..... i could do the spider webbing like everyone else.... or just straight up and down bars, side to side bars, "V" style bars, just the radiator(black), or small chrome cabnet knobs, since its gonna be an early 60s rod. what you guys think??? unless someones got a tractor grill shell, thats what i really wanna use. an to answer the question about the negative responses, the last time i posted my car people were telling me how shitty it was and how i should "go back to ol skool rodz" and my frame looks horrable ect.
haha, that motor has had 2 lives. it was in my 55 caddy when i lived over in michigan(sold it to my buddy, kept the motor). found a 56 intake for it, but never put it on while i stil had the car. the motor ran GREAT! all i did was take it down to the parts degrease and grim everything. then put a fresh set of felpro gaskets in it after painting everything. well see if it still runs good with the 4 carbs!
