I just found this today on the Austin craiglist http://austin.craigslist.org/car/248894268.html how does this happen to a truck like this? what leads to kustoms and old rods being put out to pasture, parked in a barn and left to rot like this? The interior is pretty cool and lots of body mods and check out the engine... would be cool but way too much work for me...
I guess its just about how peoples lifes get sidetracked, upset, F. up, and on and on. That is a super cool truck, hope it can be rescued. They were goin for it, that power plant looks amazing. Thanks for sharing, Sololobo
That deserves to be restored to it's former glory, and that's not a bad price. It was a pretty tasteful custom...
very cool truck. equally cool that something like that is still out there. no telling how many of them still exist.
I hope the right guy buys it to restore it to it former show glory. Sometime piece's of history like that fall through the cracks and some one buy's it just to be a truck . CBB
The guy that built that truck was named Boots Frithioff from Texes I think , I don't know why but I always remembered that name.I have a feature of it in an old magazine. It was a huge show winner in it's day and it would be a shame if it wasn't restored to it's former glory. Cheers Dago
Somebody build it...my heart sank when I saw it on the cover of that old rag and then looked at it now!!
Thanks for the magazine cover shot...very cool. It's cool that it's still around, still in Texas and still savable!...I said too much work for ME...I don't even have a garage. It's a very cool truck...definately needs to be saved.
Pussies! That thing isn't that bad, but driving it around like that is just stupid. A little bit of sanding and some paint (and shiney paint at that)... Damn lazy bastards....
I've seen it in person....it is rougher than it looks in the pics. It would be a cool project when finished though. To me the juice wouldn't be worth the squeeze.....hopefully someone more talented and patient than me will get their hands on it. It's an old interior by Vernon I believe, beautiful....that guy is amazing. If I remember right, the owner wanted $25K for it about 2 years ago...or at least thought that was what it was worth. The price has come down a LOT. It hasn't even had a tarp over it....very sad. Owner had pics of it in old car magazines...it was a great kustom.
Someone outta' call Sam, look what else he's got lying around... http://austin.craigslist.org/pts/248910973.html
if i had no projects in the works, i'd be all over that thing like flies on shit! restore it to it's glory days
