FUCK YEAH!! thats cool. i'm not in love with the grill or the taillights but over all that car has a great look. the profile is killer. the chop and slanted pilars TOTALY rule!!!
Real Kool, I love the chop top treatment and the rest of the bobys kuts. Small suggestions you ought to pie cut the hood. Doing this the hood would flow with the rest of the sled. Great job and keep us posted on the progress.... Happy Trails, Mick
Can't wait to see how you clean it up ... I don't like the tail lights either, but the grille treatment rules. Have Fun!
Very nice! Whoever did the body work did a good job. I agree with the hood, slicing it would match that angle chop. Would look sweet in a dark shade of paint with wood trim. Congrats. Rich
That things got some nice lines to it, should look good when it's finished. The taillights kind of ruined it for me though, and the little fog light lookin' holes up front, unless you put chrome bullets in them. I agree with the others that suggested pie cutting the hood. Lookin' good though, keep us updated.
Thanks for the replies. I agree the taillights suck, I hate they got in the picture. TP and I are going to put 48 Merc taillights on it. I think cutting the hood is a great idea, just don't know how, but know someone who does. Hope to have it a lot further along by the Roundup. Will keep ya'll updated. I will post some pics on the custom dash I'm building. Working on it is a little slow right now because I'm a Taxidermist and I'm covered up.
Agree that the taillights have to be removed (unless you are building a big billet wheel ride) and the grill does not work for the car. I am not normally one who likes chopped wagons, but this one looks good
Did you fellas notice that it has a dual quad 455 buick. It'll haul ass too. I'm going to help moon with the metal work and the taillites are first to go. A lot of work has gone into the car and alot left. The holes in the role pan up front are actually for cooling purposes. I agree that it needs some help in the grill . The whole car was put on a Monte carlo frame. I'll bet it has 10,000 pieces cut and welded in to convert it to a 2 door. it's a great start. I think pie cutting the hood is a good idea. It needs a few thing to be road worthy but it'll be ready for "The Roundup". It has sedan doors with station wagon tops welded on it and the sedan door post was used. Lots of hand made parts to make it. The slanted pillars and wedge cut make it though.
How the hell do you get stuff like that done during hunting season? When are you gonna make some more shift knobs?
