    whatever floats your boat.

Looks decent to me, but I don't think Thrusts all around would look bad either. Maybe a little played out now adays?

  3. I like the look of those slightly smaller tires better than the other ones. Less ballooney appearance and they don't make the rears look so much smaller.

    lol.

Maybe if you knew what those wheels were, you wouldn't say they're "played out." :)

    Looks awesome!

I think another set of 5 spokes on the back would look better. but then again, I wouldn't put slicks on it either.

    is it a 442? 4 barrel, 4-speed, dual exhaust???

Looks much better. I have a very similar set up on a chevelle I have. Everyone always tells me to put matching rims on the back too.

    Looks right on.

So what tire size did you finally settle on for the front? Since I'm asking, what's the size of the rear also?

I think it looks excellent, but what are the wheels, they look like Torq Thrust originals or D's, maybe E/T? nevermind just read an old post of his, they are E/T's they look great.

  15. Thank YOU.

  16. 205/75/15's on front, the rears are from HOTRODRUBBER here on the HAMB and i think they'e 27 1/2 X 8. I'd have to check his website again

That car looks dead-on, I love it!!

  20. Looks period correct to me!!! Matter of fact not all drag racers had their dragging tires mounted on the same rims that they drove on the streets with.Set of slicks on chrome reversed rims worked just fine! Hell I,ve seen slicks on black steel rims used just for 1/4 mile at a time. Five minutes with a jack and a wheel wrench and presto...all the rims were the same. Nice car!

looks good..I didn't think the tire would be that big a difference..but as we all have said, boy was I wrong...love the steels in the back...thats all I run on my Comet...

  23. This could've been a car "the guy down the block" had when i was growing up in the streets of Brooklyn, N.Y. in the 60's. HEY, who said 1860's?

  24. Looks good! I think the new smaller tires up front made a world of difference in the overall look.

Looks great... mixed wheels were very common in the 60's, mostly emulating the 'dragstrip' look. Here's my F-85 from around '68... have to say, yours looks a whole lot better :D
