I am attempting to re-use the u-bolts off the rear of my '50 F-1. I cleaned them up good (electrolysis and wire brush) and I got new nuts. Anytime I tighten anything like this up I bust it (yeah, I know I'm a monster, LOL). Can somebody give me an idea of what would be a good torque to set them at?
    Thanks,
    CHAZ

You won't believe this but I got the bolts about tight, and the shock mount casting busted!?!?!? I ranted in another thread about it. I wish I could get something done without breaking stuff.
