Thought you all would enjoy some pics of Vintage tin in OK:eek: . Quite a few heart breakers in here. Supposedly the guy that owns this is going to hold an auction. I will make sure that I let everyone know on the site if/when it actually gets scheduled.

The story is that the old man that owned the "junk yard" died a few years ago and the son is finally getting around to cleaning it out. The majority of these cars are no longer in the "treasure yard" and are now under lock and key. I was walking through the area and found a stack of Banjo steering wheels like they were cord wood, a pristene 41 Ford front fender and stacks upon stacks of hoods.

  18. Hey, at least that guy is planning to hold an auction. There is an asshat like that here. Probably 20-25 acres of land FULL of '30's to late '60's cars. The guy wants over a mil. for the land and cars. Everything in one sale, wont sell parts. It's been that way since I was just a kid. My dad told me that back around '70 there was a large parts barn in the middle of the property that collapsed. Story goes it was packed with "A" parts, pretty much destroyed everything in the building. There are Mercs, effies, old panels, coupes and wagons galore in there.

I think someone should start a H.A.M.B. "Save the Cars Fund". Folks could donate to it and then when stuff like this comes available the fund could purchase the whole lot. Of course you'd have to have some kinda board to control the funds and decide on fair H.A.M.B. pricing of the stuff. Maybe an elected board. Maybe registered H.A.M.B. members can vote on when to buy ,etc... Maybe buy some land and build a big fortified compound, Uh forget that part. HaHa. Seriously, I would contribute to the save the cars fund though.

If this is the remains of a yard I remember going to in the 70's; it had stuff all the way back to the teens, and several coupes. I even remember seeing brass T radiators, etc. Note the '34 5-w body next to the '34 tudor in one pic. PLEASE KEEP US POSTED on the auction !

    Hey Bulletproof.

One of the old dudes at work told me about another one he found the other day.

I think we need to get a group of Okies together and go on a reclamation mission!

I wonder what one of those grass hopper lookin heavy lift helicopters costs?:D

Should tell the guy about the Hamb for anthing that he does not sell at auctions and tell him to post them here. The cars will go to a loving home then.
