Nurburgring...perhaps the world's most famous and dangerous road course...and, of course, it's open to the public.... Thank God Ralph Nader does not have much influence in Germany... Check out the pics and videos... http://nurburgring.org.uk/beginners.html
Been there- Done that! As they say anyway - I spent three days there in 1966. I was driving my Triumph TR4A and my buddy had his Porsche. What fun that was!!!!
Interesting web-site, and what I would take as good advice. Alas, I probably won't get a chance to drive it. Would be fun though. Charlie
What's awesome is that there are still places on earth where the whining safety freaks and insurance companies haven't succeeded in shutting down to "save" people and "save"us from ourselves. Pay your money and jump on, if you die you die. The way life should be. " First, don't contemplate a trip there unless you're happy with the risks. This is a dangerous road, and serious accidents are an everyday occurence. " .
Thats Hans Stuck, hell of a driver. His father was an Auto Union team driver in the '30s. Speed is in his blood.
That was a nice white knuckle ride! So much for the concept of slower cars stay right. He reeled in that red Porsche like it was some kind of economy car.
Look up the chick that drives the taxi. I saw one video where she was driving a big delivery van on the ring as a challenge against a writer, it was pretty cool. Plus she's a hottie. CHAZ
