I'm finally going to rebuild this dang old hemi, but part of the delay is that I'm freaked out about just taking it anywhere. I checked out several places... most seemed like they just churned out aluminum-block rebuilds from new cars, and one of them had a bunch of muscle car-type engines in the shop except that shop had changed ownership twice in the 4 months since I got the latest phone book...

So who around here knows how to handle an old hemi? I bet there's some HAMBer that does

Yep it's a cool town. The engine's actually at my dad's in Circle Pines, which is right next to Blaine so that'd work great.

I can't find any B&A in Ham Lake in the phone book though...

If you looking for a straight rebuild, try Waggoman Bros. in Columbia Heights. They do alot of older engines. My Dad had a Y-block done there years ago.

Gene Pearson if he has time in Forest Lake. (Mr. Personality but once you get past that he will do it right.

Wheeler North Spring Lake Park area. Fixed lots of Aluminum Hemi parts for me good people.

Bruce Crandall if he is still around up there. Was the God of Hemis and mopars years ago.

None of these three are cheap but if you want it good and right you will pay anyway. And you better be prepared to wiat to get it done!!! But now is the right time to get moving so you can get it by March or so.
