getting ready to dig into a 51 olds, yanking out the hydro & converting it to stick. anyone know what year pedals will work? did olds even offer stick shifts in this body style, or are we going to have to make pedals? also, the motor is gonna get freshened up some, whats the casting number for the good heads? is anyone still making high performance cams & valve train for these? thanks for any info. still learning with this oldsmobile stuff!
Regarding parts,I just had my '56 cam reground by Schneider Racing Cams in San Diego.Great job, great price, quick turn around. Offy 3-2 intakes are around NOS.Edlebrock 3-2 intakes come up on epay. Yorgatron is still around I think.I bought a set of rods and a pan from him about 6 months ago.
no dont hate it, but a clutch is alot more fun. customer car anyways. putting a 5 speed behind the 303.
Im so glad I found this thread. I have a 324 with a hydro in my roadster and I was kicking around how could I put a stick in it.
Are Mud Trucks cool in Santa Barbra? Just wondering if I would be accepted there... I was thinking about moving... haha- Olds motors RULE. Tuck
49 To 54 Chevy Pedals Look Like The Same And I Know That 57 Olds Factory Sticks Had Floor Pedals My Brother Inlaw Had One
with pismo beach only an hour away you'd fit in fine with the mud bogger 34. i can picture it launching across the dunes already. hahaha this olds motor will rule when finished.
