Here's the link to a digger restoration project we did a few years ago - with the flaking process pretty well laid out... Fred http://nitrogeezers.com/LilFuller.htm
The process is outlined in the photo essay - links at the bottom of the opening page... F. http://nitrogeezers.com/LilFuller.htm
Check out Donnie's website "Imperial Customs". I got to meet him a couple of times a few years back, his metalflake work is amazing. http://www.imperialcustoms.com/ You'll find some great stuff there.
go here and have a look around: http://www.autowonderland.ca/phpbb2/phpBB2/index.php ...these guys seem to know a thing or two 'bout flakin' a roof.
I used HOK Abalone flake on the roof over a white base. It shines all sorts of colours from gold/green through to aqua and even a dark blue. Might look alright against the green. Keep in mind that flake is almost impossible to photograph, so you'll have to use your imagination a little. In this pic it looks mainly blue. This one it's a bit more green. And in this one it's just about a perfect match for the body, a nice aqua blue/green. Here's a couple of shots from indoors.
How about Flat green with silver flake.... then flames or scallops done in gloss of the same color green.
Allright, I've been putting off asking this because of the hazing but what are the wheels on the green Coupe called?
heres one from the Choppers(Cleveland) All i know is it belongs to a Chopper and it is badass and for sale!
