Those '56 4-door Victorias are good looking cars, but they are RARE! I've never seen production figures, but I can't imagine that they made very many of them.

  4. They sure are! In 2005, I passed on buying one that I've regretted since. A friend of mine bought an almost rust free one out of Washington, and brought it to Alberta. He's a 55-56 restoration guy, and has a pretty extensive collection. BUT, he was holding off on this 4-door hardtop's restoration because he couldn't find any repop stuff like weatherstripping and window channel, etc. So many things were one off. As far as I know he still has it in one of his storage buildings, but I don't know if I'd want to take that one on!!

Satin white, shiny dark blue roof, NICE chrome and stainless, '55 Olds headlight rings, standard nose, deck, handles, all set off with some Lincoln Premiere wheel covers make this '55 stand out. Omaha World of Wheels Cavalcade of Customs. Poor indoor lights on move in day, I'll see if I can replace these photos once the show opens with real lights.

There were 33,111,…… 15,186 Parklane wagons, 9209 Crown Vics, 8757 Couiers, 603 CV’s with glass top.
Least produced by engine was an 8 passenger Country Squire with a 6 cylinder at 103.
Highest production was a Fairlane 4dr Town Sedan at 224,872. Most all manufacturers were this way ….Family first.

Thanks, Jimmy Six. I'm a little surprised by these numbers, because I certainly see more Crown Vics (with or without glass) than 4-door Vics. It may just be that more people have saved the Crowns than have kept the 4-doors.

Just like with Chevrolets and their 2 dr Bel Air hardtops the 56 Ford Fairlane Victorias, with 177,000+ manufactured, they are the most left eventho there were 65,000 more Fairlane 4drs. I’m lucky to have one and looked a year to get a rust free restoration before making it the way I wanted.
It seems the highest numbers kept are the 2 dr hardtops which are high on desirable list too.
