Nice work on the rear spring deal. It is hard to get that right the first time. The profile shot is rad, tits and gnarly, by the way.

Dang, I haven't posted updates for six months.

I've been working on it everyday, but it doesn't show it.

Next was the front suspension, and it took forever to get the way I wanted it.

First, flip the main leaf. IMG_0947.JPG

I played with the number of springs and the spring arch to get it where I wanted, and welded the perches though the bones.

    Next up, the grill.

I won't lie, I spent 2 weeks on this, it was a pain.

    The starting point.

I narrowed the top piece three inches, just enough to eliminate the fill hole.

The top piece looks pretty good, width wise.

Then I needed to figure out how much of a chop the grill would get, it needed a lot.

    I settled on 4 inches.

After taking four inches out of the middle, I knew this was not going to work unless I bolted it all down to a to the workbench, and added a strip down the middle to keep the bars aligned.

I worked in sections, starting at the bottom, carefully cutting to size and tig welding.
