Hope it works out for you.
Saw that Doug DeMuro sold part of his Cars and Bids interest for something like 37 mill.. And he did the right thing with some of his proceeds from the sale and went out a bought the Porsche C GT that he had always longed for.
Good Luck with your new venture.

Yes it's a grand slam homerun with this crowd . . . you could corner the traditional market. Sounds exciting.

    Hey, Ryan;
You mentioned running/driving cars as the initial focus.
    Eventually barn/garage/field-finds, "raw material" also?
On-topic to start with, anyways? Maybe?
    Marcus...

  7. This future selling site, might even in the future, be part of the pedigree that belongs to the history of the vehicle being sold. The sale on this bidding site could possibly prove the vehicle has some real history behind its origin. If, not Hambers or bidders would call the vehicle out, if the stated listing is incorrect.

  8. I like it and have a couple cars for sale but they really don’t fully fit the traditional hot rod and custom deal. Looking forward to it!

Interesting.. Ive got a couple HAMB friendly cars Id like to move soon.

  10. Sounds like a fantastic idea!

starting with completed cars while safe is leaving a lot of traffic off the new site .

projects and parts would fill it quickly and get traffic numbers up .

I have bought and sold a fair bit right here on the Hamb snd would gladly list my parts and rusty gold on your new site .

just my marble rolling around this morning and thinking about what “I” would like to see preferably.

eitherway it sounds like a killer site with tons of potential I’ll be a lurker for sure , and if my automotive ADD kicks in a potential buyer !!

I recall eBay in the early days, the total number of pages for anything listed was around 6-7 pages long. Ie before categories started.
Pretty sure Ryan knows the focus he wants to take it before categories begin. Otherwise it’s a HAMB classifieds site to bid on.
I like the approach, hope that it starts off well and expands. If it does, it’ll be tuned to things I like.
The credit card thing doesn’t concern me, really no different than many auctions I’ve attended, but requires a cash deposit to get a bidders number.

Now I'm confused a little. Did a re-read, and does this mean only notable or significant cars with published histories? What if Joey Bagadonutz built a good car 9 years ago? Fair game or no thanks?
