    Thanks for that. I guess no one had thought about using Calcium Chloride on the track back then.

    Looks like ( :34") Manny Ayulo in #44 27T neck to neck with sourpuss Jim Rathman. #57 was owned by Don Blair. Not sure who was driving, That's the Norco track on Corydon St. with the Norconian hotel in the background. William Dalzell appears in a log book flying out of nearby Skyranch Airport (on Valley in Puente) at about the same time-1946. logbooks2.jpg
