    And two years later, its low, its wide and its on steel springs.

    Theres a power of a lot of very clever engineering in the chassis now so I can have the look I want, and still have full suspension.

    Hopefully it will be finished in another year.

  10. Very cool @GasserTodd

    These '34s you've posted deserve their own threads I reckon.

    Been almost 4 years since I posted my '31 Chevy 5 window build on this Bowtie Chevy site and my build link! I finally found a talented and experienced hotrodder from his garage at home who is taking on my build for primarily chassis setup. After multiple Arizona hot rod shops turning me down, WAY TOO EXPENSIVE labor rates (one was an outrageous $185 an hour with a starting bill of ONLY 40 hours at $8,500), my patience became way too thin...

    I found Dale who responded from a Wanted Ad I placed right here on the HAMB after he responded just after the new year, within days of running the ad. He came over to look at my '31 that weekend and I was psyched and relieved!

    I do have my '31 build posted here, but other members may have not seen it as of yet (Link Below), so I will post a few pictures here for now. I noticed that no one has posted here since August of 2022, hopefully I will ignite some members to lite the fire on continuing their Bowtie projects as we speak! These photos are shown as a mockup, finishing welds will come soon after! My hot rod has been off the road since 2007, almost 16 years since she was streetable - do I have patience or what!

    31CHEVYMIKE Following your build. It has been 17 yrs since I got my project and started building all by myself , I am very close to getting it on the road this year. It is an Essex. Good luck with yours.

    Damn right GearheadsQCE - All of those years of hanging around hot rods, I've never heard a hot rod with a QCR... Not sure I'll be able to hear one with a 6-71 supercharger. That's about to change...

    Question - do you see the small screw that has a hex head to remove it, right in the top of my QCR? What is that screw's purpose? When my chassis setup guy took a picture of the top of my QCR, the long trip that my brother and myself took to move here a few years back had damage to this screw. This happened from the mock up of the ancient ladder bar that broke on the rear tube, causing my floor to drop on the center of my QCR. Imagine waiting close to 4 years to find out what happened until the other day...

    That is a pipe plug, used for filling and/or venting.

    But if this plug can be used for venting, does this plug need to be out of the rear completely?

    @31chevymike,
    Yes the plug has to come out to use it as a vent. The most simple is to install a hose barb and a length of fuel line. This can just be a loop or you can add a screened vent.
    You can use a plug there, but you will have to vent the unit somewhere. An axle tube, or the change gear cavity will also work.

    Hey @GearheadsQCE, would you happen to have any of your QCR's with this vent system examples to take photos of and post them on this site? Would be gratefully appreciated!

    Anybody have any vintage Bowtie hot rod projects to share on this site? Let's see them here, as they deserve the attention, enjoyment and advice from other HAMBERS to help keep their builds moving forward...

    Here are just a few more pics to post from my build:
