I know you know. @VANDENPLAS sure does I bet. He came across it in a trek. Edit: He wanted to know if anything might be useful on a pickup of the same vintage.
Looks like an International Harvester, somewhere around a '48 or '49. I think a KB series? Probably a limited demand for parts but there are some dedicated collectors out there. They were pretty stout trucks in their day.
Other than the cab, hood, grille, fender parts, engine, transmission, seats, steering wheel, and other stuff. Not much else is usable unless restoring another one of the same model.
That looks like a KB5 or 6. It has the big front wheel cutouts for the big steel wheels. The cab and grill are the same as the pickups, just the front fenders are different.
I think it is a KB5. The KB6 and KB7 did not have the chrome "wings" on each side of the radiator grille or the chrome hood ornament.
Drop the body on another truck chassis, offer the frame and running gear up for sale - I can't imagine parts are easy to find. Random pic from web, no info if it's swapped frames. Has a nice stance
20 years ago I built a KB3 with a Volare torsion bar front suspension and a 472 Cad motor. It was scary fast.
K model didn’t have the wings on each side of the grill . KB had the wings added to the sides of the grill . Enlarge the picture and there’s a KB 5 on the hood side
The smaller KB series trucks up to and including the KB5 had the grille wings. The larger carrying capacity KB6 and KB7 trucks did not get the wings.
The K IH trucks were built 1940-46 . These models didn’t have the winged grille. The KB IH trucks were built 1947-49 . These models had the winged grille. Up to the KB5 . The larger models had fenders separate from the hood and grille. KB6 is pictured above
