Been to the Roadster Show once & thoroughly enjoyed everything about it, would attend annually were it not such a distance factor, can certainly appreciate the level of craftsmanship, however be it the size of my wallet or my brain being wired wrong I tend to gravitate toward the real time worn entrants or the everyday kinda/sorta home brewed examples done as they say back in the day, even some modern aging okay with me if well-crafted & not too overboard.

The backstory on a couple of these, as they are local to me. The 27 T-Bucket belongs to Bob Jones, he purchased the body around 1959 when he was starting Hi-School. He built it with a Pontiac, added a blower and drove it for nearly 20 years, before switching to the Chevy, that he has regretted, since early engines became the rage. His son Derrick @fgnailhead34 only rode in it a few times, as he was only 1 year old, before Bob put it in the basement where it has been since the mid-80's. The father and son combo have been busy building and adding to their stable of great cars.
The red oxide 29 Pickup belongs to master striper, and sign painter Mitch Kim. It is a work in progress, that I helped him on over the last few years. It's got a pretty cool little 181 Chevy in it. A couple of fun guys and close friends ! IMG_4939.JPG

Thanks Mr. Davison for a glimpse of Southern California and a bunch of super Hot rods/customs. Was lucky enough to be there last year. Home this year in 23 degree weather.

My buddy Dans Caddy. He’s the one that painted my 29 pick up.
