This request is going out to all the new clubs that have plaques. Our website has over 2,500 different plaque photos posted and I'm sure with all the new HAMB clubs that have started, some of them must have plaques. If you'll post a picture of your club's plaque here on this thread, or send it directly to me at [email protected] I'll make sure it gets added. Many HAMBers have already sent pictures of their club's plaque but I'll bet there are many more out there. To start things off, here is a picture of my club's plaque........ and it's posted on our website at www.relicsandrods.com Thanks for helping me document these clubs.......
Here's one from your site that I sent in a while back: My Dad was a member in the mid '60's.....was wondering if anyone out there was also or knows of someone who was in the club?
Thanks to the few people who responded to my request..... To Nitrofc - Thanks Big Al - for the 91 pictures you have taken and sent the past year. To Muttley - Still haven't heard from anyone who was in your dad's club. To Crusty Nut - I now have your plaque posted on the Eureka page. To Evel - Are there more THEM! chapters out there? To Fast Elvis - I have the plaque picture you sent posted on the Buying A Car Club Plaque page. I'm sure there are more clubs with plaques out there but maybe everyone is out working on their cars. I'll try sending this request again in 6 months when everyone is sitting in front of their computers because it's too cold to do anything else.
Mr. O'Brien is working on ours at the moment...Hopefully in a few weeks I will be able to post a picture.
You've had our 50-year-old plaque for about a year now (CARBS -- Custom And Rod BuilderS -- Toledo, Ohio. Thanks for keeping up a great site. Seems like you and the Rikster should talk about preserving history into the 22nd century (and beyond). Everybody should visit both sites to reacquaint themselves with what was happenin' back when our obsession was a shade-tree, amateur kind of thing, not a 7-figure race for the Riddler.
If you leave in the stl area check out the traditional cruise on sat. 9/16 the one in july was a blast, just people hanging out who like the same style. I sold the suburban so I will have to ride the bike. Its a ton better than the regular cruises that are filled with billet wheels and '87 monte carlo seats.
Here's one from my old club in the Ventura/Oxnard area. I sure miss being involved with them. I was in the club in the late 70's until 1989. Any VVR members out there? Al Medina? Gordy? I know you have one of these in your Ventura section but maybe this shows the art better. Designed by J.Olivares
Courtesy of the O'Briens... **Edit** Just noticed you already had our plaque listed after I posted this... Ooops!
