File this under do as we say and not as we do...

I wasn't gonna run this one as it felt too off topic to me. But after watching the video, I kind of like the inspiration and mood it brings. There are things to be learned in the details.

We’ll add it to the list…
No shame in recognizing the impact foreign cars have on Hot Rods & Customs.
For one, I’m happy to see you bend the rules.

There are a few beautiful Fiat's in that era, the S61 is one - 10Litre 4cyl OHC Hemi, chain drive. placed 3rd in the 1911 Indianapolis 500
They may not be Hot Rods in the true sense, however many of these 'big cars' inspired & set the bar for the under-dog to aim for & in some cases exceed.
The 501 as in this clip is the pedestrian Fiat the peoples car, much more like what we hot rodders play with.
    Thanks for sharing @Jive-Bomber
    & for the green light @Ryan ;)

Where would the humble but famous Fiat Topolino fuel altereds be without even humbler beginnings!

Everything about this video is awesome. The countryside, the beautiful Italian girl in the old photo, the gauges, the thickness of the dash when the glovebox door is opened, the plug wires taped together, the ding in the grill shell, the spots of peeling paint, the wear on the pedals... I love this thing. If this guy isn't a hot rodder and that's not a gow-job, I don't know what is.
