This brings back memories of my driver's education classes in the mid 1970's. There was a single wide mobile home in the high school parking lot with two rows of driver simulators like these. We all watched a film made in the early 60's and "drove" along with it.

Wheels are 19 inch Model A with spokes cut down and 16 inch rims mounted. Probably done at home.

  11. We had a similar set up in my high school. Our "cars" looked more like bumper cars that didn't move and had a single movie projector screen at the front we "drove" with. I was really excited the first time . The excitement faded after our instructor made us all step on the brake pedal and hold it for like 5 minutes. He yelled at anyone, including me, for letting up on the pedal, even just a little.
