Quite the save!...you ended up creating a one-off "phantom" ...looks like a cross between a Willis and a Hudson

Found this while looking at another thread about metal working. Started on page 10 and got engrossed in it. What happened to it? There has been nothing since 9/21 over a year ago.
Vicky has business been so good that you haven't been able to get back to your own stuff? If so fantastic for the wallet, not so much for your own stuff. Not to mention the advertisement for your business and skill level broadening.
Or was it restarted on another thread?
Oh, and fantastic work on this "wonderful piece of plastic body filler sculpture"! I have seen plenty of them in my time.

  8. I’m digging it out, it’s pretty deep in there. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

This project seems to have a longer shelf life than Cheeze Wiz. :D:D
And I thought I was slow getting my RPU built and now that I’ve been driving it for 3 summers I think the 11 years I spent getting it done was worth the effort.
Plenty of smiles per gallon.

If it's been since February 2021 that's going on 2 years! Man hope you can find time to do something with it!

I found my '30 Roadster body in 1962 and it really hasn't progressed that much except for replacing parts with better parts. No different than having a boat that doesn't float.

  23. The past 2 weekends I actually got to work on it.
Remember this from April 7, 2016?

The drivers side was on some time ago. (Can’t remember)
Finally got old passenger side got cut off, the part I made in 2016 fit in and ready to weld up.

It’s not much but slow motion better than no motion.
From now on Steve’s hot rod time is Friday after lunch to Monday after lunch for my hot rods. That’s the standing order. BTW that was 2019 New Year’s resolution. My wife is happy as can be but some people ain’t.
This started as “pet project” something in my spare time. My spare time went away and I never set up or set aside another type of time frame for it. So far it’s been 3 weekends in row, let’s see what happens. The first weekend was digging it out, sorting parts, making a spot, hanging the ceiling in my paint booth. Everything is a freaking mission instead of a simple task.

This is my favorite coupe of all time. I like different kinds of stuff blended together. Sorry you had to ruin the paint!

Nice to see this one again. Can you remember where you stashed all the pieces?

  27. Most of them,
I’m missing one box, in that box is my motor mounts & all the little pieces for my Weiand blower drive.

  28. After scraping the glitter off the turd you bought, your dedication to bringing it back to life has been awe-inspiring. Glad to see you back at it.
