I has a whats call a 4” drop 34 front axle, and my frame is s stock 32.
Someone has made a new roof on this cross so was it a repair or lower the cross - I can’t tell.
Normally the A-Ford front cross seems to be used.
I like stay away from repro parts ( even if it it makes very hard build a car on old parts in just parts.

In my case I like the car low and will use 4.50 by 16 Firestones and 7.50 in rear but I like it low in front but some ’atitude’ at rear so wheels must be way under the body fender lines.

So what is best to do here, mock it up at this cross or get a new made A-Ford or try find a decent old A-Ford ?

You might want to try your radiator, with some of the aftermarket flattened crossmembers you don't have room for the u bolts that hold the spring.

How hard will it be to find an original Model A crossmember in Sweden? I can't imagine very easy. How about just modify the 32 crossmembers to be a little flatter? That's traditional and probably easier.

I will get a height and a picture.

Sweden has bought parts in decades.
I has found parts here but I has no real connection and people seldom like sell their stuff, and my impression is there are more ’collectors’ plus I think F-B is the deal maybe.
But asking collectors try sell their stuff is not a good way.
I has got Big help here on Hamb both in tech, history and ask for parts.
Bad thing is our money is junk vs the USD so its expensive ( plus freight and we has taxes on taxes on taxes ( its a soscialist country.

I measure the distance from to of frame to upper part of the cross and I has 2.75".
I don't know if this one is raised or what a A-Ford would be.

    Great,
I has maybe 0.4” less now that a A-Ford cross would give me.
-So back in the days they did cut upp the std 32 cross to make the car lower.

28-29 front crossmembers mount the radiator a little different than the 30-31 ones. The later one are much better in a 32.

Is the 30-31 gets car lower or its design vs radiator ?

It is how the radiator mounts.

Hey Hank, I know nothing about this topic, but maybe post a pic and those that know can fill you in on what you have.
