Well the first time I rolled the roadster out into the daylight our pup Riley checked it out and then got distracted when some turkeys rambled by. F48DA262-0D76-46AD-9B24-7134B1CD34A3.jpeg

And that in itself is and was a crime against both hot rodders and dogs too.
There’s nothing more traditional than hot rods and the love we have for our furry companions.

Looks like the Whitewall was having the time of his life. Good for him.

I carried my Boston Terrier, Layla, around with me in the semi for a couple of years, she also rode in my Maverick and the Lincoln a time or two. She's gone now, and the one I have now, Dixie, hasn't ridden much yet. Got to start getting her out more.

Man, that's a nice looking Model A, is it totally stock? HRP

  7. Back in the '70s, our family mutt "THOR" used to go for rides in the "HEMI 32" 5wd Coupe.

The only pic I could find of him in the car was from one of my High School Photography class assignments in which we were tasked to do a photo essay entitled "Out Of Place" ... The subject of my photo essay was our dog ... I posed him performing various human activities ... including "driving" a car (wearing a Stroker Cap):

In looking for the above photo, I also found this pic from my college years ... my Belgian Shepherd "MALIA" loved going for rides in my O/T sports car:

I've got a buddy who spent a decade building the most gorgeous 36 roadster you've ever seen. Perfect red paint, plenty of chrome, built flathead, Halibrand wheels, and smooth leather upholstery. He won't take it to large shows because he's afraid some idiot will rub against it and scratch something. Yet he loves to take his little dog for rides.

When I had my Aussie Harley he thought that if I didn't have my work uniform on he was supposed to g with me. Here he is looking out over the water on the ferry between Mukilteo Wa and Clinton Wa on Whidbey Island during a road trip to pick up a drill press I had bought in a GSA auction.
