A friend had his car and trailer stolen from a storage business. https://forums.aaca.org/topic/388325-stolen-1952-commander-starliner-hardtop-with-trailer/
Very sad and I hope he gets it back. Any cameras at the facility? I guess if I had to leave it somewhere, I'd use a hitch lock-or remove the ball receiver and maybe chain or remove wheel or something?
sucks . Hope it’s found . It’s happened up here 2-3 times in the past year . One was a dragster , car was found in an industrial area , trailer long gone . Another classic car , same story car dumped someplace and trailer gone . last one was a trailer full of swapmeet stuff , the entire trailer and contents where found a few days later , probably to big a pain in the ass to empty out . Easier to just steal another trailer . fingers crossed . I hate thrives

There were camaras in place but they only go back 2 weeks as they delete from the back end as they record. Since I parked it there September 25th and did not go get it until November 23rd it only shows that it was gone before November so sometime in October most likely. The trailer tongue had a pad lock on the little flip up lever and also had a ball socket lock. I am convinced they wanted the trailer and were hoping there would be stuff inside that was easy to sell or hock. Enclosed trailers are also nowadays used as mobile meth labs. The car I think is just an unwanted item. It is now known all over the old car community and would be hard to sell. I have since purchased another trailer tongue lock. This one is very expensive ($349) but is saw, grinder and pry bar proof and is sold by Altor and is called SAF trailer lock. So I am prepared when I get another trailer. Thanks all for the interest. Frank
"This one is very expensive ($349) but is saw, grinder and pry bar proof and is sold by Altor and is called SAF trailer lock. So I am prepared when I get another trailer. Thanks all for the interest." Return it and get your money back. You can knock it off in just a couple of minutes by drilling a hole thru the coupler top and pounding the lock out. Provenlocks (the competition) has a video showing how easy they are to break off. battery drill, chisel and hammer is all that is needed.
