What date did the H.A.M.B. first appear? I tried to find it on wikipedia, but all roads lead me back here.

Actually if my memory serves me correctly Ryan is number 2.
Ryan's Tech Buddy ( The German) is behind the scenes is number 1.
Don't ask who the German is.
Behind the scenes means behind the scenes.
I can't see member numbers in the lower left corner like normal ( not sure why... @Ryan ) so I'm going by memory.
Ryan can correct me if I'm wrong but this is Ryan's place, that's all everyone needs to know.

    I’m aware of that. Thanks.

I was clarifying a statement in a earlier post
    on Ryan’s number.

When I used my laptop, I could get member numbers, can’t seem to do it on my phone though. I think i moused over the user name, and somewhere a long string of stuff came up and something like “ID= 2367”, etc.

Put your cursor over your user name and a box will show up in the lower left corner of your screen. The last group of numbers is your number.

Unfortunately for some it does not.
Not sure if it is a Windows10 thing or not.

I only saw @**DONOTDELETE** last week and am 99% sure it was 1970, maybe it's due to time zone differences?

JalopyJournal.com existed for a while before Ryan started the HAMB. Here's Ryan's synopsis from another thread:

"Here's a quick and dirty timeline:
    1995
The Jalopy Journal was started on Geocities using Prodigy in the comfort of my dorm room at the University of Oklahoma. Plain text, no images...
    1996
Tadpole (RIP), Junebug (Dirty Shirts), Christian (Primer), and Ryan started a newsgroup based around traditional hot rods.
    1996.5
I continually refused to setup a message board after being asked time and time again by the fellas.
    1997
I gave in and started a message board. I titled it "The Hokey Ass Message Board" as a joke... "Cuz there is no way this thing is viable medium." "

  20. 1995?!? Shit. In '95 I had a pager, a mullet, baggy jeans, and a mini-truck. Hell, I don't think we even got internet wired into the house until something like '97 or so.

    :)
When my now 45 yr old son was 10 yrs old he once started a question with
“Dad, when the world was black and white?”
I’m sure he based it off the old pictures and movies he had seen on TV.
My grand daughter just turned 18 last week now that makes me feel old.
Her mother asked her to call a number on her cell. She had the funniest look when calling. Here for some reason she got a busy signal and asked what that “sound” was??

I remember the school computer labs in at '94, maybe '93. You could find blogs etc, but it really didn't hold my interest at the time, I was building engines and racing on whatever $ I could find as a 17 yr old.

Heck, went through a phone modem for work back then in the 90’s, then bought a place, spent about a grand on a computer with a P90 processor, stepped up to DSL. Lol.
If my laptop was like my cellphone, I’d drop Comcast;)
